Jean-Paul de Roover with Tim In the Morning (Sept 2, 2010)

With an innovative approach to music, Jean-Paul De Roover is much more than a solo artist. Accompanied by live looping, guitars and a voice used as an instrument, this ‘sonic architect’ builds his songs from foundation to facade before your very eyes. Beginning with dead silence, his performance could lead anywhere: full of capella harmonies, rhythmic tribal beats, noise-layered worlds of ambient rock, campfire-folk, electro-ballads and anything in between. With lyrical content that can be brutally honest, or lovingly truthful, one thing is certain: the originality and creativity of his timeless performances shines through to every listener.

Ruth Purves-Smith with Tim In the Morning (July 29, 2010)

Ruth’s childhood rambled the prairie highways between urban and country homes. Her mother, a cultured English teacher, lived in the city, and her father and stepmother operated an antique woolen mill in Rural Alberta. This paradox is apparent in Ruth’s music. While the stories may appear to be simple, traditional country, they are supported by a sound that pulls influence from the city: complicated, restless and sometimes loud. The story of Ruth’s career is no different.

Howlin' Dan with Tim in the Morning (May 11, 2010)

A folksy blend of blues with a little twang, a little world music, and a lot that falls between the cracks of musical description.
With a larger-than-life presence and a voice that reveals both sensitivity and raw power; together with evocative, often light-hearted (and somewhat naughty) songwriting. A combination of energy, wit and grit that brings every audience a true and intimate poetic blues experience.

Steve Elliot / Lucie Walker on The Afternoon Flow (October 16, 2009)

They sing passionately about smoky dancehalls, 18-wheelers, burning love, and broken hearts. On their debut CD, Straight Up, Steve Elliott & Lucie Walker charmed fans and critics with their soulful harmonies and original, high-octane Rockin' Country Blues. When they first sang together, they couldn't get over how easy and natural it was. Both songwriters, they understood each other's music, and found their harmonies quickly.
